On behalf of the 52nd New England Square & Round Dance Convention Committe we would like to take this opportunity to thank the callers, cuers, local volunteers, school staff and YOU ... The Dancers for a dazzling convention weekend. The locale, the facilities and even the weather co-operated to give us a fun-filled dance experience. We tried hard to reach our goal of a 1,000+ attendees, but fell just short at 995.
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming 53rd NESRD Convention to be held April 29 & 30, 2011 at the same venue. Remember "Maine ... A Taste of Heaven in 2011" promises to whet your appetite for food, fun and dancing Maine style. See you there !!

It has come to the committee's attention that some of you are having difficulty in locating housing for the upcoming Biddeford convention. In an effort to help you solve these problems, our committee has put together a list of 24 area hotels / motels in the Portland / South Portland area to help you with your search. These hotels are located no more than 15-20 minutes away from the three schools where dancing will be held during the 52nd convention, just north on Rte. # 95 and they provide approximately 2,000 rooms in total. Check out this listing in our HOUSING & CAMPING sections.
